Studying fluid mechanics within biology, oceanography, and engineering

Our Work

We are interested in solving relevant scientific problems at the forefront of environmental science and engineering. Our focus is on fluid mechanics, primarily transport mechanisms and mixing phenomena. We leverage our in-house methodologies to develop new technologies and address longstanding interdisciplinary scientific questions.

  • Acquisition of sea ice observations from satellite imagery

  • Lab-based analysis of biogenic induced transport

  • Development of bio-inspired underwater robots

  • Retrieval of small-scale ocean turbulence characteristics from sea ice observations
